Our engineers and scientists at Green Rocks have refined our Green Grown™ Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) process to eliminate the gases and elements that result in colors and defects. We call this Green Clean technology. Our Green Grown™ process simply re-creates the conditions in nature that result in carbon crystallizing into diamond. This also means Green Rocks diamonds look totally natural with predictable variations in color and clarity. Not all lab grown diamonds are colorless and flawless. So just like in nature, no two lab created Green Rocks Diamonds are alike. Each is unique and one of a kind. Think of it as nature improved. The result is a truly exceptionally lab created diamond.
Here is how our Green Grown™ CVD Process works. While globally diamonds are also created using High Pressure-High Temperature (HPHT) it is the CVD process that has allowed Green Rocks to achieve the greatest refinement, size and perfection. We grow diamonds from diamonds. Diamond slivers called plates are placed into a large, purified vacuum chamber, carefully injected with a hydrocarbon gas such as methane, and high power microwave energy to break down the atomic bonds of the hydrocarbon gas. This separates the carbon atoms from the hydrogen atoms, and the resulting free carbon 'rains' down on the diamond plates, vertically growing the diamond atom by atom, similar to the way snow collects on a table. By maintaining almost impossibly pure conditions our Green Grown™ process produces diamond crystal of consistent, unmatched purity.
